the MUNDANE is what creates MOMENTUM.

I'm saying this but not in loud, pressure-filled “new year, new you” kind of way - but HAPPY NEW YEAR.

January has a way of asking questions we don’t always want to answer.

Some days you feel focused and on track. Other days you wonder how you’re supposed to keep going.

And what you see....on social media, in conversations, even in yourself....is usually just a fraction of what’s actually happening.

There’s so much that goes unseen, but in the next couple of weeks is usually when people start to give up.

Drop resolutions. Abandon goals they set with good intentions.

Most people think quitting is weakness. A lack of discipline. A character flaw.

I’ve learned something different.

Sometimes quitting isn’t failure. Sometimes it’s the first moment of honesty.

Most people don’t quit because they’re lazy. They quit because the plan they were following was never designed for a real human life.

So they keep pushing. White-knuckling. Telling themselves they’ll slow down later.

Later is a dangerous word.

Later is how health gets postponed. Later is how stress becomes normal. Later is how exhaustion gets labeled “just part of it.”

People don’t usually fall apart from one big decision. They burn out from a thousand small ones that seemed reasonable at the time.

One of my favorite reminders is that the MUNDANE is what creates MOMENTUM.

It is in the small decisions you make every day about what you’re willing to carry, and what you’re finally ready to release.

If you don't know which foot to put forward in that first small decision to letting go of old food beliefs, the all or nothing mind sets or go hard or not at all in the gym, then reply back to this email "momentum" to learn how I coach men and women let go of old food habits that are holding them back from the energy, digestion and body they want.

It's a new year and it may be your last new you too!
