How is nutrition like training?
Well, when you approach your FUEL the way I do, it’s done in a progressive manner.
“FUEL” is what I like to call nutrition.
It’s a method.
A way you “FUEL” your body.
FUEL is NOT a 100% or nothing type approach.
It's just like training.
FUEL is all about progression.
Slowly dialing things in.
Slowly hitting new bests
Slowly gaining momentum.
Your FUEL, just like training, should be periodized.
So, some times you’re shredding fat.
Other times you’re building muscle.
Other times you might be taking a bit of a break and “maintaining” (kind of like when you “deload” in training)
Most people get their FUEL wrong.
They either take an “all or nothing” approach by going on some sort of strict diet.
When you have an "all or nothing" approach, there's no room for slip ups.
There WILL be slip ups.
So when you do slip up and you have an "all or nothing" approach, you're screwed.
Happen to you ever? It's happened to me many a times!
Now, if you don't have an "all or nothing" mindset, you're probably just winging it - I've been there too!
And we all know what happens when you wing it.
There is no progress.
If there is, it's always short lived.
Good news is... FUEL doesn’t have to be that hard.
To be honest, it's all about following a simple set of principles.
When you apply these principles to your lifestyle, you'll then have a formula for success.
